a note from our founder, jenene mealey
After nearly two decades as a nationally recognized, award-winning travel advisor, I’ve learned that true luxury isn't always about excess. It's about ease. It’s the peace of mind that comes from knowing every detail has been considered, every door opened, every moment tailored precisely to you.
I’ve spent years cultivating trusted relationships with the world’s most exceptional hoteliers, guides, and insiders who know how to make the impossible, possible. From opening up inventory at a “fully booked” ultra-luxury escape to ensuring my client's lost bag reappeared via speedboat in the Galapagos, my clients know that when challenges arise, we quietly make them disappear. Our approach is as much about care as it is connections. We tenaciously advocate for your needs to ensure that each precious minute you invest into your trip is maximized. Our business has grown almost entirely through referrals because our clients know that we fiercely protect and deliver on that promise.
I founded Travel with Awestruck to create a team fully dedicated to this philosophy on service: deeply personal, relationship-driven, and always available when you need us. You’ll never be handed off to a call center or chatbot. You will always have my team (and often me) just a text or direct call away.
I am often asked about our name, but "Awestruck" is more than a title to us: it's a vocation. Awe can be defined as "a feeling of reverential respect mixed with wonder." Our mission is to cultivate experiences that leave our clients with this feeling on every single journey. It is a responsibility we take to heart, and a privilege we never take lightly.

Sardinia! I am one of the top sellers of Italy travel in North America, and next summer, I was invited as part of an intimate group of just 10 advisors to experience a different side of Sardinia, beyond the sun-drenched beaches. I cannot wait to bring my learnings back to our travelers.

Puglia, the Southern heel of the Italian boot. Some say it’s the next Amalfi Coast. I hope not. I selfishly want to keep this hidden gem a secret for a little longer.

My daughter has special needs, and when she was too sick to fly for almost a decade, I would have done anything to be able to take her on vacation. Seeing the look on her face when she saw the water color in Turks and Caicos during a vacation to Grace Bay was one of my favorite awestruck moments.

We will never plan another vacation on our own. Jenene planned a flawless and seamless once in a lifetime trip to Italy for our honeymoon. The best hotels in the best locations, private drivers, first class trains, the best tour guides and we didn’t waste a minute standing in a line. Finally, she basically rented out an entire lemon farm for us and the family taught us how to cook some of their family recipes. It was worth every penny. Rome, Florence, Positano in that order! Jenene was incredible to work with and made planning our honeymoon stress-free. Jenene is the best! I have used her for a few couples vacations, for a
few group trips and a bachelorette party. She made everything so easy and always recommends the best hotels and excursions based on the type of trip you are looking for. We can't say enough good things about our experience with Jenene and Travel with Awestruck. Jenene helped us plan a trip of a lifetime across Italy, and from beginning to end everything was choreographed perfectly. From hotels, to transportation, to excursions, to meals, everything was stress-free. Even when our mid-trip train taking us to our next destination was cancelled, due to an impromptu strike, Jenene and her team were able to seamlessly get us on another train at the same time and we didn't have to lift a finger.
